Independiente Parque Centenario had everything to take all three points at home, but Juventud San Cristóbal showed at the Primera L - GBA Norte ground that when teams dare to play with the ball, the goals almost end up coming on their own. It was a match in which both sides sent out the 4-4-2 with a balanced mindset, aware that league football does not forgive timidity. The home side pressed from the start, making use of their home advantage, but they found in the visiting defence a resistance that, although it cracked at several moments, was enough for the final steal. Bauti Zaffari was the undisputed standout of the match. The 25-year-old left winger from Mendoza, with a rating of 8.4, scored two goals that set the pace of the visiting win. His left foot from the left side was a constant problem for the home defence, and in each of his movements you could see the precision that led to him being called up without hesitation once the coach saw him play in that trial where he laid on two assists. Octavio Cardozo, the right-back from Resistencia who is only 20 years old but already uses both feet with ease, just as his blacksmith father taught him, also added a goal that proved key in building the comeback. Elián Valenzuela, a 34-year-old veteran who keeps his old boots as relics from eleven years at the club, was the defensive pillar that allowed the lead to be maintained in the moments of greatest home pressure.

The match was decided by San Cristóbal’s ability to take advantage of the spaces. Juventud San Cristóbal arrived as visitors at Independiente Parque Centenario’s ground ready to play their game, and although the home side had moments of control, the visitors were more effective when the ball reached them in finishing areas. Nahuel Saliba in the centre of defence and Cacho Ballarini up front maintained the necessary balance so that Bauti Zaffari had the space he needed on the wings. It was a great goal-filled match where the team from the north zone made specific mistakes that San Cristóbal did not forgive, taking advantage of every opportunity with the cold blood of someone who knows that in the league there are no second chances.
