La cuarta2 - 0Club Social y Deportivo San Roque

Argentinos de Barracas won comfortably against Sportivo Once Norte in a match where the home side’s superiority was clear from the first half. The final 2-0 scoreline fairly reflected what happened on the pitch: a team that controlled the tempo, remained untroubled in defence and did what was necessary to take all three points in matchday 17 of Primera I - GBA Oeste. Both squads lined up in the same tactical formation, a balanced 4-4-2, but it was the Barracas side who made better use of the system.

Miguel Viva was solid at centre-back, the kind of defender who asserts his authority without needing to put on a spectacular display. Pocho Beitia and Faustino Chaile scored the goals that sealed the match, with the 31-year-old veteran striker showing off the instinct that has faded somewhat during his career but still allows him to remain useful. Lalo Bastianelli carried out his defensive duties on the left, while Dylan Ruffini made his presence felt in midfield. For Sportivo Once Norte, Toño Weinberg was unable to provide width from midfield and ended up being booked for his impatience. Toto Aizpún and Agustín Bertolino, defenders with years of experience, were swept away by the home side’s attacking fluency.

The result leaves Argentinos de Barracas with a hard-earned victory: not flashy, but effective, in a match where the opposition never found a gap through which to threaten. Sportivo Once Norte leave without creating any clear goalscoring chances and with the feeling that they were tactically out of the game from early on. It was a victory that neither surprises nor disappoints; simply, the better-positioned team took what it came for.
