Estrella de Villa Soldati2 - 3Ancianos Solitarios

Ancianos Solitarios claimed a hard-fought victory in Villa Soldati, with a 3-2 scoreline that perfectly sums up the controlled chaos of this third Primera H matchday. Two teams who set up in the same way —a balanced 4-4-2— produced a goal-filled spectacle in which the defence was almost an afterthought. The visitors knew how to take their chances when it mattered most, while the home side were left with the bitter feeling of having created opportunities of their own but being unable to contain the opposition attacks at decisive moments.

The match flowed naturally through aerial play and quick transitions. Ancianos Solitarios found their main weapon in the counter-attack, capitalising on the spaces left by an overly eager Estrella Villa Soldati in their search for an equaliser and the lead. The home defence had several moments to forget, while up front the visiting forwards finished precisely when given the opportunity. In midfield, both sides contested every ball without either gaining clear control, although the visitors showed greater organisation when tracking back.

The result is fair for Ancianos Solitarios, who consolidated their advantage in the final thirty minutes as fatigue began to weigh on Estrella Villa Soldati. The home side are left frustrated at having competed on equal terms but being unable to turn their intensity into points. It is still early in the season, but these defensive details and that lack of concentration at critical moments are what tend to separate the teams fighting for something important. Ancianos Solitarios, for their part, have shown that they can be dangerous away from home.
