Match report

Tiro Libre Lejano had their chance at home, but FC Sin Trofeos took the three points with a solid display that, though not brilliant, was effective when it mattered. On the home side’s pitch, both teams set up with similar structures: balanced 4-4-2s that sought stability rather than needless risks. The match unfolded tightly, with no generous spaces for either side, as Tiro Libre Lejano pressed from the outset but without finding the attacking clarity that would have allowed them to turn home advantage into a decisive edge.

Tincho Fava was the one who put the home side ahead with a goal that seemed to set them on course for victory. The central midfielder from Comodoro Rivadavia, just turned twenty-four, moved intelligently in the away box and made the most of a through ball from Geremías Piotrowski, who fulfilled his role as left midfielder with precision. Piotrowski, experienced at twenty-nine, had a fine outing, distributing play and creating chances from his flank. However, that lead was not enough. FC Sin Trofeos responded with composure: Ronaldo Berasaluce, the twenty-four-year-old centre-back with that combative defender profile, put his body on the line when needed, while Elías Buti, the veteran right-back of thirty-four who has been plying his trade on Argentine pitches for some time, provided security down his side. Bruno Vázquez, the striker who brought match experience, scored the equaliser and then sealed the visitors’ win, showing the trip was not in vain.

Lisandro Talamonti, only a youngster of eighteen in the visitors’ goal, shone at the key moments. The young goalkeeper from Mendoza, whom FC Sin Trofeos spotted in the lower age groups, had the timing to deal with what Tiro Libre Lejano threw at him in the second half. It was a deserved win for the visitors, who made the most of their chances on an afternoon where the details mattered more than the overall play.
