ELDT is not pay-to-win: what money buys and what it doesn’t

In ELDT, real money does not buy players, points or training: everything that helps you win matches is earned by playing. That is a core principle, and it is set out in the game Terms: paid options are optional and do not give competitive advantages over those who play for free.

What money does NOT buy

  • Players: the entire transfer market runs through auction, using the club’s funds. No packs, no loot boxes.
  • Training: players improve through training, the minutes they play, their age and your coaching staff. It’s the same for everyone.
  • In-game money: your club’s funds come from ticket sales, sponsors, prizes and transfers. You can’t top it up with a card.
  • Results: the match is decided by your squad, your tactics and a bit of luck. Nobody gets an edge because they paid.

What you CAN pay for

  • Supporter: identity for your club (badges and shirts with AI, squad in your shirt, gold badge) and conveniences (tactics by match type, training history, more messages with the AI). We explain it in detail in what Supporter includes.
  • Cosmetic extras that change how your club looks, not how it plays.

Why it works this way

A football manager game is only fun when the best manager wins. If paying gave you a better squad, the game would be over for everyone else. That is why in ELDT a manager who has never paid can still win Primera División.
