Def. Agronomía Centro2 - 2Juventud La Boca

Def. Agronomía Centro could not break down Juventud La Boca at home and ended up drawing 2-2 in a match where both squads sought each other out with intent but without the precision that Argentine football demands. Primera I of the GBA Sur once again showed how fine the margins are: two sides with identical line-ups, balanced mentalities, and the result was what it had to be, a share of the points that leaves neither satisfied. Spinelli opened the scoring for the home side with a goal that seemed to tilt the pitch towards the home end, but Juventud La Boca replied through Tomé, who showed that although he is not the star of any showcase, when he appears in the box he knows where to be. The 1-1 arrived and with it, a certain parity that no one expected to break.

What was most curious was seeing Zambon, the centre-back of just seventeen years old from Def. Agronomía Centro, score for his side. A youngster from Merlo netting in Primera, without fuss, without drama, like someone doing his job. That briefly changed the picture, but Bassi, from the midfield line of Juventud La Boca, would not let the story run in only one direction. The visiting central midfielder levelled it, and with that the 2-2 was sealed, a scoreline the stands received with that bitter feeling of someone who watched a match without drama but without a gift either.

Def. Agronomía Centro cannot feel let down: they played at home, scored two goals, but lacked the finishing power to manage the lead. Juventud La Boca, with Silvio Duarte creating down the left, showed the capacity to respond that characterises football in the outskirts of the city, where no one gives in until the end. Both are missing the three points, but on matchday 15 of this league, a 2-2 draw says more than it seems: two teams battling, getting forward, but still needing to find that small detail that sets them apart.

In the last 2 meetings between Def. Agronomía Centro and Juventud La Boca: 1 win for Def. Agronomía Centro, 1 draw and 0 for Juventud La Boca.
