Match report

Offside Permanente left the pitch with all three points and the certainty that the Primera G del GBA Sur has something for everyone. Their 5-3 victory over Penales Errados on the opening matchday was comfortable, with no need to suffer too much, as two formations that looked identical on paper produced opposite results on the pitch. The visiting side found their main finisher in Camilo Bengoechea: the eighteen-year-old striker scored three goals with a rating of 9.3, figures that tell the story of a night when everything he touched turned into a goal. At twenty-two, Mauro Vignati also contributed in attack with a goal and an assist, showing that Offside Permanente knew exactly where they wanted to win the match.

On the home side, Penales Errados were left wanting. Manuel Pérez, the eighteen-year-old winger with a rating of 8.4, was his team's top scorer with two goals, but it was not enough to stop the visiting onslaught. Right-back Ruso Serra, thirty-four years old and showing the experience etched on his face, added a goal and an assist, but that was not enough to hold on to a result that was slipping from their grasp. Penales Errados' defence could not contain the opposition strikers, and although Daniel Najib in goal for Offside Permanente had a rating of 7.7, that was more down to his good reading of the game than a heavy workload. At the back, Vicente Garrone, the twenty-nine-year-old Paraguayan centre-back, kept his composure and was booked without it leading to a defensive collapse.

The visitors' superiority was clear but not overwhelming. Two 4-4-2 formations with a balanced mentality produced an open match in which the strikers called the shots. Offside Permanente were simply more efficient in the final third, while Penales Errados were left frustrated at having let opportunities slip away.
