Tiro Libre Lejano2 - 1
Asado de Domingo FC
Match report
Tiro Libre Lejano got the better of Asado de Domingo FC in a match where both sides kept the tactical balance from the outset. The final 2-1 in favour of the home side fairly reflected what happened on the pitch in this first matchday of Primera G - GBA Sur. The symmetrical 4-4-2s allowed for a tight contest, with very little space, where every mistake could prove costly and every good move became an opportunity.
Tincho Fava opened the scoring for the home side with a goal that put the team ahead on the scoreboard. The 24-year-old central midfielder, from Comodoro Rivadavia, showed that ability to push forward that defines modern midfielders in his role. In response, Asado de Domingo FC did not crumble. Valentino De Angelis, the visiting midfielder aged just 21, levelled the scores with a goal that kept the game alive. He was always a constant threat down the right, with Claudio Anzorena organising the play on the left flank with the composure that experience brings at 33 years of age.
Samuel Segre, the home striker aged 34 who has spent years in Argentine football, proved decisive in the closing stages. His goal sealed Tiro Libre Lejano's victory in a context where Geremías Piotrowski never stopped pressing in left midfield. The defence, with Agus Hartmann as defensive midfielder, stood firm when needed, and Claudio Villa in goal did his job without the need for spectacular interventions. A match that reflected the competitive level expected on the opening matchday, where the home side made better use of its chances and took three deserved points.
