Match report

Club Atlético y Tiro comfortably dominated Atlético San Isidro in the sixth matchday fixture of Primera E - GBA Norte, running out clear 3-1 winners at home. The home side set up in an organised 4-3-3, while the visitors attempted to contain them with a 4-4-2, although they lacked the resources to maintain the pressure for the full ninety minutes. The result was a fair reflection of what happened on the pitch: a comfortable win that allowed the hosts to collect three crucial points in their efforts to maintain their competitive level in the division.

Benjamín Torres, the 20-year-old goalkeeper who arrived at Sportivo Rincón de Milberg almost by chance, had relatively little to do in the early stages. His trademark composure allowed him to deal with the few chances created by San Isidro's attack, where Gustavo Echeverría was the main threat. The Bahía Blanca forward scored a goal for the visitors, although it was almost an afterthought given the superiority shown by the hosts. In defence, Hugo Cabrera, the 19-year-old Brazilian centre-back whose reading of the game is matched by an anticipation ability uncommon for his age, was vital in containing dangerous moves.

The true protagonist of the afternoon was the home midfield, where Maximiliano Medina showed all his experience. The 30-year-old central midfielder, who grew up in Comodivadavia in an environment where every day was a struggle, produced a 7.7-rated performance that allowed him to organise play from the middle and distribute intelligently to both flanks. Alongside Fernando Paredes, also a central midfielder, he established a partnership that dictated the rhythm of the match and never allowed the visitors to gain ground. Daniel Paredes, a 20-year-old forward who moves easily on both wings, spearheaded the home attack and scored one of the three goals in the victory. The attack worked as a unit, with San Isidro unable to find any significant cracks in the defence, apart from the goal Echeverría scored towards the end of one of the periods.

Andrés Paredes provided an assist for the visitors, showing that the San Isidro side did not give up despite falling behind, but their efforts proved insufficient against the dominance exerted by Club Atlético y Tiro. The home side's balanced mentality meant that they did not lose their defensive composure even during their less controlled spells. With this victory, the hosts consolidated their progress in the tournament and strengthened their position among the leading sides in the group, while San Isidro will have to reassess certain aspects of their performance ahead of their next fixtures.
