Villa Devoto left no room for surprises on matchday 2 of Primera G. Sportivo Bragado arrived intent on taking something positive back from the Oeste, but found a home side that knew how to manage its superiority with the precision of someone who knows the ground well. The 3-0 scoreline was emphatic, with no room for doubt: the hosts carried out their 4-4-2 with balance and when Sportivo Bragado tried to respond from a similar setup, it was already over.
The undisputed standout of the afternoon was Lucca Marín. The 31-year-old striker, "El Turco" to those close to him, scored twice and provided an assist, confirming why his 8.9 rating is no random number. Marín has that instinct only years can give: he moves into millimetre-perfect spaces, reads the game ahead of time and finishes without much fuss. For Sportivo Bragado, who arrived with players such as Vidal Palacios and Tomi Zenatti in the defensive line, it was an afternoon of forced learning. The Córdoba full-back and the central defender from Resistencia did what they could, but the away side lacked the creativity needed to create danger. Iñaki Fontana in midfield tried things from the left, but without clear attacking support.
At Villa Devoto, Alfredo Vega in defence and Matías Frutos in the centre of the pitch held the tactical set-up together without too much trouble. Leandro Bertoni on the right and Faustino Bárcena as the attacking midfielder completed a structure that worked more through common sense than flashes of brilliance. The match did not produce great moments of footballing beauty: it was, simply, what it had to be. A home side that did not lose concentration and an away side that could not find the resources to change the course. For Sportivo Bragado, the task is to regroup for the next matchday. For Villa Devoto, three points that strengthen their run in the zone.
