Ferro Constitución1 - 1Real San Cristóbal Reservas

Ferro Constitución and Real San Cristóbal Reserves played out a low-key draw at Barrio Constitución stadium, on an afternoon when both sides understood that the point was what there was to take away. It was a 1-1 that was neither especially memorable nor lopsided, with two symmetrical 4-4-2 line-ups chasing the same thing without finding any major differences. The result reflects exactly what happened on the pitch: two balanced squads who failed to break the deadlock convincingly.

Benjamín Negrete, Ferro's midfielder who is around thirty-one, scored the home goal and also picked up a yellow card that leaves him on the edge heading into what comes next. His performance was decent, if unspectacular, with a rating of 6.9 that sums up the job: reliable but nothing out of the ordinary. For San Cristóbal, Joaquín Castelli, the thirty-four-year-old veteran, levelled the scores with his strike. Castelli is at that stage where goals are still possible but require more work. Yamil Trevisan, Ferro's central midfielder, provided an assist without much sparkle, while Lautaro Tabares, San Cristóbal's midfielder, also helped in the visitors' attack from the right, although with a rating of just 5.9 that shows a difficult afternoon. Tabares was booked as well, adding a touch of tension to a contest that was generally peaceful.

What remains after ninety minutes is the feeling of a match where nobody was superior, where both defences did their bit and the attacks did not find any definitive openings. For Ferro, the home draw leaves a mixed taste, while San Cristóbal, as visitors, can be satisfied with the point. In Primera I GBA Norte, at this stage of matchday 7, both will know they will have to win somewhere.
