Match report

Club Burzaco had a quiet afternoon at their stadium against Defensores de Solano, in a sixth matchday fixture in Primera E that finished 2-0 with a controlled home display but without any major scares. Both sides set up with similar tactical shapes, both in 4-4-2 formations and with an even mentality, which promised a tight match. However, it was the home side who found the spaces needed to take the victory on an evening when the visiting defence failed to find effective answers.

Sebastián Caruso was the main man in the home attack, moving the ball intelligently from midfield and creating constant danger. The 28-year-old Argentine midfielder, who operates in the attacking midfield zone, picked up a yellow card for his combative approach but never stopped looking to drive forward. Julián Lo Celso, at 23 and playing as a holding midfielder in the central area, was the defensive metronome that allowed Burzaco to stay organised when Defensores tried to press. Beto Paredes, the 31-year-old Brazilian centre-back with plenty of experience, was in charge of keeping the defensive line solid against the visitors' attacking efforts, alongside Tomás Reyes, who also received a yellow card during the match.

Burzaco's goals came without any detailed record of how each strike was put together in the match reports. What was clear, though, was that the home side made the most of their chances and finished clinically, while Defensores de Solano failed to find a way through the defensive solidity the hosts had set up. Pepe Lautaro, the visiting goalkeeper, 33, originally from Comodoro Rivadavia, had a difficult afternoon, conceding two goals he could not keep out, showing the limitations exposed by a 6.6 rating.

The visiting defence, with Diego Gallo as the main centre-back at 36, saw its attempts to hold firm prove insufficient. Ricardo Ramos at right-back for the home side was a constant presence who smothered the attempts of Martín Romano, Defensores' left winger, who could barely get his game going at 27. Burzaco's superiority was more about attitude than technical brilliance, but in Primera E football, that is decisive.

The comfortable win allows Burzaco to strengthen their position in Primera E - GBA Sur with three valuable points. Defensores de Solano will have to analyse what was missing at the back to allow two goals without much resistance, knowing that the level shown is not enough to challenge at the top of the competition.
