Match report
El Fortín de Villa Lugano asserted their authority at home and swept aside Villa del Parque's reserves with a comprehensive win that leaves no room for argument. Three goals to one on matchday 11 of Primera L, a result that reflects the home side's dominance from the off. Both squads lined up in the same balanced 4-4-2, but the difference lay in the finishing: El Fortín found the gaps, took their chances and controlled the match when needed.
The evening belonged to the home stars. Pepe Serrano at the heart of defence kept things composed at the back with a 7.2 rating, while full-backs Ian Casal and Xavier Terzi not only looked after their flanks but also pushed forward. Casal got on the scoresheet in the first half; Terzi added another. In midfield, Quique Schwartzman, that experienced 37-year-old Colombian wide midfielder who is still delivering, also found the net. Veteran Nico Ruiz on the left did his job without fuss. For Villa del Parque, Franco Zuccarelli, the 17-year-old Paraguayan youngster, pulled one back with a goal that at least spared the away side a blank. Coco Cazón, the 19-year-old midfielder brought up in Merlo, provided an assist that underlines his calm in distributing play despite the scoreline.
What remains for the Villa del Parque side is the task of rebuilding. It was not a match where the visitors were tactically adrift, but simply one where El Fortín were sharper in attack and more solid in defence. For the home side, three points that strengthen their place near the top of the table. Schwartzman and co showed they know how to win as they should: with clarity.
