Sportivo San Rafael
1 - 2
Club Chacarita
Match report
Club Chacarita claimed a deserved victory at Sportivo San Rafael's ground, winning 2-1 in a match where both sides set up similarly but the visitors were sharper at the key moments. The Primera H of GBA Norte had its fourth matchday with a result that comes as no surprise: the side that travelled from away knew how to manage its resources better and left with all three points in the bag.
The match unfolded within expected limits. Both sides came out with the balanced mindset their managers had asked for, looking to avoid conceding ground but without exposing themselves unnecessarily. Sportivo San Rafael had spells where they pressed in their half and created a few chances, but they lacked the finishing touch that marks out teams that win tight matches. Club Chacarita, by contrast, took their chances with greater composure. Both away goals came when the home defence was not sufficiently alert, and San Rafael's consolation came too late to alter the course of the match.
What this match made clear is that Chacarita are showing defensive solidity beyond their attacking ability. For Sportivo San Rafael, the task ahead is more urgent: playing at home and dropping points against a side that did not shine in its own right tends to leave its mark on morale. In the division, where everyone is fighting for the same thing, these home slips carry more weight than they seem. Chacarita head away with morale high; San Rafael will have to return to training to fine-tune things that did not work on this GBA Norte afternoon.
