Sportivo Rosario Sur2 - 0Defensores de San Francisco

Sportivo Rosario Sur left no room for doubt on their home pitch and swept aside Defensores de San Francisco with a comfortable 2-0 win on matchday 4 of Primera H in the GBA Norte. The home side imposed their game from the first half with a clear 4-4-2 structure, while the visitors arrived with a similar approach but without the effectiveness needed to trouble them. The Rosario outfit managed the tempo with ease, found space down the flanks and took their chances with cold-blooded efficiency. Both goals came at moments when Defensores were showing signs of defensive fatigue, with no response from the visitors to set alarm bells ringing for the manager.

On an individual level, Sportivo Rosario Sur produced convincing performances across the board. The forwards were clinical in front of goal, converting the chances created by a midfield that controlled the rhythm without any great scares. The home defence did its job securely, showing order in cover and no distractions when San Francisco tried to put something together going forward. The visitors, by contrast, looked disconnected and lacked attacking clarity. Their structure was sound on paper, but the execution was never up to scratch. They failed in the press when it should have been a tool to stop the opponent, and their attacking movements were predictable.

For Sportivo Rosario Sur, these three points are an important backing for their ambitions in the group. The team is showing defensive solidity and the judgement not to rush needlessly. San Francisco, meanwhile, need to take stock quickly. This is not a bad side, but there was little there to take anything from a pitch where the goal never really came into view. The next matchday will be vital for both, especially for San Francisco, who cannot afford any more setbacks of this level if they want to keep their options alive in the competition.
