Atlético Belgrano R FC2 - 2Atlético Villa Devoto

Belgrano R and Villa Devoto shared the points in a match that had everything it promised: two sides with similar approaches, matched ambitions and the ability to create danger without fully convincing. The final 2-2 neatly sums up that parity: each scored two goals, each could have won, and neither finished satisfied. In a Primera I in CABA where the margins are narrow, this kind of draw leaves that bitter taste of a missed opportunity.

Belgrano R had their moments. León Villagra, just a eighteen-year-old youngster but with the craft of a veteran, opened the scoring with a goal that lifted the tempo at home. Marcos Sacchetti, another nineteen-year-old who carries the responsibility of a striker in the making, added the second and seemed to settle the match. But Villa Devoto had other plans. Alexis Martínez, a nineteen-year-old central midfielder hungry for glory, cut the deficit with a goal that rekindled the visitor's hopes. Gael Mella, who knows all about growing under pressure, netted the equaliser and changed everything again. Mateo Sironi, with two assists from midfield, was the brains behind that comeback: only eighteen years old but with a reading of the game that suggests this youngster has come to stay.

Godoy in Belgrano R's goal and Toscano for Villa Devoto did their jobs without stealing the headlines. At the back, Sandro Saéz, only seventeen, showed composure for a lad his age, though he lacked match sharpness. The return is a point apiece, but the feelings are split: Belgrano R left with the frustration of a win that slipped through their fingers, Villa Devoto with the bitter aftertaste of having to come from behind twice. In the Primera I, these high-scoring draws are treacherous.
