America vs Europe: the Intercontinental Final and ELDT Club World Cup arrive

When the championship goes global

ELDT has added something that changes everything: two tournaments that will pit your champions against the best from America and Europe. These are real events that alternate each season, played as one-off ties with no home advantage for anyone. Start getting your squad ready, because these titles leave a mark: they come with hefty prizes, exclusive achievements and even stars on your club crest.

It works like this. In even-numbered seasons, the Intercontinental Final arrives: the champion of the Copa de Campeones de América against the champion of the Copa de Campeones de Europa. That’s it. One match. It’s played in the first week of the season at a neutral venue at 17:00 Argentina time. The winner takes $30 million, the loser $15 million, and both go down in history.

Club World Cup: eight dreams on the line

In odd-numbered seasons, from Season 5 onwards, the show is bigger. The ELDT Club World Cup brings together eight teams: four from America and four from Europe. It includes the champions of the last two Copa de Campeones from each continent, the winners of the Copa Desafío, the holders of the previous Intercontinental, and the best Primera División team that did not qualify through a cup. If someone wins more than once, the runner-up gets the place. Quarter-finals, semis and final, all over one leg and with no clashes between clubs from the same continent. The most recent Copa de Campeones winners are seeded.

The prizes show how big this is: $60 million for the world champions, $30 million for the runners-up, $15 million for each semi-finalist and $8 million just for making the quarter-finals. But the real reward lies elsewhere. Winning the Intercontinental or the World Cup brings new achievements with more prestige than any other title you’ve seen. And every World Cup win adds a star above your club crest: you’ll see it on the club page, in live view and everywhere else the crest appears prominently.

Everything is documented in the Copas section of the game. There you’ll see the upcoming events, the ties and the results. Now’s the time to start thinking big: if your team is competitive in its region, these tournaments are your chance to put your name into ELDT world glory.
