The academy gems: ELDT youngsters with the most potential
Three youngsters with potential 20, or close to it, the highest in the game, who have already moved up to the first team. Who they are, where they came from and which clubs developed them.

In ELDT, a player’s potential runs from 0 to 20. Reaching 20 is the ceiling: a player like that can become the best in his division. Most of the youngsters your scouts bring in are nowhere near that number. But every now and then one pops up right at the top end, and the manager who finds him has a treasure on his hands.
We’re looking at three youngsters with the highest potential in the game who have already been promoted to first-team squads at clubs run by people.
Bastian Simoncini (Los Garrafas): potential 20

Los Garrafas have one of the two youngsters with perfect potential already in the first team of a human-run club (the other is Facundo Rojas, of Soldados Mancos F.C.). Bastian Simoncini is a right winger, he is 18, and he was spotted in an amateur tournament in the area after a good performance. He moved up to the first team on 9 October.
He has studious personality, the sort that speeds up development. Right now his level is around 14 points and he has room to reach 20. If the Los Garrafas manager uses him well and trains him properly, he could be the division’s standout in just a few seasons.
And he’s not the only one: the same academy also produced Hernán Resa, a left winger with potential 19,7 and leader personality. Los Garrafas have both flanks sorted for a long time.
Ivo Santoro (Club Barrio Marechal): potential 19,9

Ivo Santoro is a striker, he is 18, and he came from the sticks: he comes through the youth ranks of Sportivo Serrano, a neighbourhood club from Santa Fe built on graft. He’s from the Litoral and moved up to the first team of Club Barrio Marechal on 4 October.
Potential 19,9: just a tenth short of the ceiling. A number 9 with that sort of headroom in a lower-league club is exactly the kind of find every manager dreams of.
Noé Bahamonde (Futbol Club Warnes): potential 19,8

Noé Bahamonde is a right-back, he is 18, and he comes from La Pampa, where he was developed as a full-back with plenty of room to run and a strong defensive sense. He is the most advanced of the three: already above 14 points, with potential 19,8. He has been at Futbol Club Warnes since the start of September.
How do you find a youngster like that?
In ELDT, youngsters do not appear by themselves: scouts bring them in, and they go out looking on the 1st and 16th of each month. A scout of a higher level brings more youngsters and better odds, but nothing is guaranteed: anyone can find a potential 20. After that, the youngster develops every Monday, plays in the Youth Tournament and, once he meets the requirements, the manager decides when to promote him.
If you want to learn how to do it, we’ve got the guide on how to bring youngsters up from the academy.
