Sportivo Floresta Sur put on a perfect display at home and dispatched Pibes Montserrat with a thrashing that left no doubt as to who was superior on the pitch. The 3-0 scoreline on matchday 5 of Primera I - GBA Norte reflected the clear dominance of a home side that, with a 4-4-2 formation and a balanced mentality, found the right spaces to breach a visiting defence that never managed to settle. Pibes Montserrat arrived with the same tactical intentions but lacked the precision and finishing required in Primera.
The goals were shared among the home ranks. Yago Tassinari, the 30-year-old striker who bears a scar on his left eyebrow as a reminder of battles past, opened the scoring calmly. Raúl Drago, the barely 18-year-old Paraguayan central midfielder who joined Sportivo almost by chance in an inter-neighbourhood friendly, sealed the result with his goal and showed maturity for a newcomer. Misael Herrera, the 19-year-old right winger from Comodoro Rivadavia, completed the scoring with the third. Tomi Mercado, a left-sided midfielder who moved with ease on the left flank, picked up a yellow card but was a key figure in building the home side's play. Enrique Karam was booked for the visitors, unable to stop the attacking onslaught coming his way.
For Pibes Montserrat, it was a match in which defensive errors proved costly. Alan Tosti and Lisandro Arrarte, the defensive screen, lacked the consistency needed to halt the home side's momentum. Arrarte, with his 32 years of experience, could not prevent the collapse. The rating gap between the two squads was laid bare: Sportivo Floresta Sur have players in better form. For the visiting side, the task now is to regroup and seek a recovery in the upcoming matchdays.
