River Chico
1 - 1
Six seven
Match report
River Chico and Inter de Miami Beach shared the points on the afternoon of the first matchday of Primera G of CABA, in a match where both sides showed defensive solidity but little clarity in attack. The final 1-1 summed up an even contest, with no major imbalances, where two balanced 4-4-2 formations tried to take control of the midfield without managing it decisively. Nahue Berasaluce, River Chico's central midfielder, scored for the home side but was booked in an appearance rated 6.9. At the other end, Santiago Anzorena netted for Inter de Miami Beach with a rating of 7.2, showing that the 23-year-old winger has the tools to do damage in the attacking third. Leonel Aizpurua's assist allowed River Chico to fashion the move that ended in a goal, while Eric Toscano, from the away midfield, also made his contribution with an assist in a 6.5 rating.
The afternoon unfolded with tension but without any moments that decisively shaped the pitch. Iván Valenzano, the experienced right-back for the away side at 31, was booked during the game. In midfield, Aizpurua showed defensive assurance despite his 6.5 rating, while at Inter de Miami Beach, Eric Toscano had to strike a balance between winning the ball and keeping the play ticking over. The two managers kept their systems unchanged tactically, which meant the match had a steady but predictable tempo.
The draw left both teams with mixed feelings at the start of the season. River Chico picked up a point at home but could not turn home advantage into victory, while Inter de Miami Beach took away a respectable result without imposing their game. It remains to be seen how they process these first impressions ahead of the next matchday.
