La Gloria de Versalles4 - 4Club Universitario de Berisso

Versalles and Monte Castro shared the points in a match where both teams demonstrated attacking ability but also defensive vulnerabilities that proved costly. The 4-4 scoreline reflected a first-matchday contest in which both sides’ 4-4-2 formations prioritised attack over solidity at the back, producing a spectacle of goals but also tactical disorder. Noé Yedlin was Versalles’ standout performer: the 27-year-old central midfielder not only scored but also provided two assists, demonstrating the ability to influence both ends of the pitch that characterises him. His 8.2 rating was no coincidence. For Monte Castro, Diogo Zuccarelli fulfilled a role similar to Yedlin’s, organising play from midfield and contributing a goal and an assist in a performance rated 7.7.

The full-backs played a starring role. Vito Volpi, the 36-year-old veteran who represents Versalles, contributed a goal in addition to his defensive duties, while Gabi Arce did likewise from the visitors’ left flank. Both full-backs demonstrated that experience remains valuable in Primera F. In attack, both Silvio Maldonado and Alejandro Goldenberg added their names to the scoresheet, giving their teams more options in the finishing area.

The match showed that the balanced mentality of both sides was insufficient to stop their opponents’ attacking build-up. Facundo Anzorena contributed a goal and an assist for Versalles, showing that being 30 has not diminished his effectiveness. Faustino Córdoba’s only goal, the Monte Castro defensive midfielder, suggested that the pressure came from unexpected areas. Mauro Berretta was shown a yellow card, a warning for the 18-year-old centre-back, who will need to improve his marking in the coming matchdays. It was a season debut in which both teams showed they could score, but their defences still require adjustment.
