Sociedad Parque Chacabuco1 - 0Paraná Club

Sociedad Parque Chacabuco took a deserved win on matchday 10 of Primera L de GBA Norte, beating Social y Deportivo Villa Soldati with a solitary goal in a tight match where both sides set out with the same idea: balance. The Chacabuco pitch was the setting for a tactical battle in which neither side wanted to take too many risks, with the four at the back on each side functioning more as a containment system than as an attacking platform. It was one of those matches decided by fine margins, by who keeps concentration for one minute longer, by who lands the first blow. And Parque Chacabuco did.

Víctor Neumann had little to do in the home goal, but when he was called upon he dealt with it securely, owning that calmness that has marked him out since his first steps at the club. In midfield, Marcos Bidegain moved the ball smartly from his holding role, the sort of footballer who knows where the ball should be before the ball knows it itself. Pancho Branca picked up a booking in his defensive work, reliable in the tackle but without any sparkle. For the visitors, Emiliano Bugliani tried to add substance to Villa Soldati’s play, though the effort proved insufficient. Héctor Szymanski in the away goal could do little against a side that knew how to shut the spaces down.

Left-back Tadeo Biscardi was a constant nuisance for the opposition, while Fede Miranda looked to make inroads from the other side without finding the right timing. The most interesting thing for Chacabuco was the contribution of Kiki Cardozo, the youngster who at seventeen continues to show he has things the rest do not. Villa Soldati leave Chacabuco empty-handed, facing the frustration of not making the most of a chance to pick up points away from home in a match that was there for either side. The hosts, meanwhile, confirm their best spell in the section.
