AD Recoleta1 - 0Patriotas Almagro

AD Recoleta claimed a narrow home win against Patriotas Almagro in a match where both squads opted for similar approaches, but the hosts proved more effective when it mattered. The final 1-0 scoreline accurately reflected what happened on the pitch: two well-balanced teams, neither willing to give anything away, and a fine margin that ultimately went the way of the home side.

Levi Basaldua and Leonel Zella stood out in the home midfield, although both ended up in the book after strong challenges. The thirty-year-old midfielder showed his experience in circulating the ball, while the eighteen-year-old youngster added intensity when needed. For the visitors, Christian Bandini performed his wide defensive role without shining too brightly, while Valentino Hidalgo, Patriotas' sixteen-year-old youth player, looked overwhelmed at times by the home attack. Jonathan Mariño, Recoleta's forward, had chances and linked up well with his team-mates, although he also received a yellow card before the final whistle. In defence, Ramón Cisneros was reliable for the hosts. Toño Baroli tried to make things happen down the left for the visitors but failed to create any sustained danger.

The match lacked much excitement, but Recoleta executed their plan better. Patriotas failed to turn their presence into clear chances and were beaten without being able to seriously question the result. For the hosts, it is a solid step forward in the group. For the visitors, the issue remains their finishing: they came to compete, but it was not enough.
