CR Parque Patricios1 - 3Liga Núñez

Liga Núñez arrived in Parque Patricios and left with all three points. The final 3-1 scoreline neatly summed up what happened on matchday 11 of Primera I of GBA Oeste: an away side that knew how to capitalise on its chances against a home team that never found the necessary rhythm to sustain the pressure. Both tactical setups looked balanced on paper, with a 4-4-2 in both cases, but on the pitch the difference was clear in terms of finishing.

The match had its moments, although there was little joy for the home side. Tomás Vidaurri, the thirty-one-year-old central midfielder who keeps his debut boots as a relic, managed to score for Parque Patricios, but it was merely a consolation goal on an afternoon when Liga Núñez controlled the tempo without needing to commit themselves fully. Vicente Bellandi was the decisive man for the away side: two goals from the thirty-year-old forward, who remains a constant threat at his best. Joaco Vidaurri, the centre-back who moved from Bahía Blanca to strengthen Liga Núñez's defence, also scored to seal the victory in the closing stages. For the visitors, Lucca Gil was shown a yellow card for over-exuberance on the left flank, while Bruno Wieczorek, the eighteen-year-old midfielder who arrived almost by chance from Lanús, was also booked. Vicente Rosas, a right winger the same age as Bellandi, completed the list of cautioned players.

For Parque Patricios, this result raises questions about what is missing to compete on equal terms. Liga Núñez take a comfortable victory that lifts them higher in the table. The home side will have to review their defensive automatisms in the next training session if they are to avoid this kind of uneven display happening again.
