Match report
Deportivo Mataderos Veteranos showed no mercy on matchday 10 of Primera I GBA Sur. With a convincing 3-1 over El Vencedor de Parque Chacabuco, the home side demonstrated a superiority that grew clearer as the match went on. Both sides lined up with similar plans, two balanced 4-4-2s that promised a tight duel, but Mataderos made the most of their attacking strengths and punished a visiting side that found no defensive answers. Young Cacho Castaño, only sixteen but with the appetite of a talented youngster, scored one of the goals. Lucho Bruno, a twenty-one-year-old centre-back who still surprises with his attacking forays, also found the net. Nicolás Arcuri completed the rout from right-back, taking advantage of the spaces El Vencedor left open. For the home side, Ethan Castellano moved with ease down the left wing, showing the versatility that defines him at twenty-six.
El Vencedor were not an opponent without ideas, though they lacked precision at the key moments. Milton Bartolini, an experienced twenty-eight-year-old centre-back, scored the consolation goal but also picked up a yellow card that leaves him on the edge for the next fixtures. Julián Aizpún, the seventeen-year-old attacking midfielder who arrived at the club almost by chance, provided an assist that at least kept his side in the conversation for spells during the match.
What remains unresolved for Vencedor is no small matter: a defence that failed to solidify the transitions and an attack that looked disconnected in most of the moves. Mataderos, by contrast, keep piling up points comfortably and strengthening their place in the table. The message was clear: when everything clicks at Mataderos, few can keep pace in this division.
