Social y Deportivo Luis Guillón1 - 0Club Atlético Fiorito

Social y Deportivo Luis Guillón won deservedly on the opening matchday of the Primera F GBA Sur, beating Sportivo Berazategui Sur 1-0 in a match that reflected the tactical balance between both sides. Both set up in a conventional 4-4-2, but it was the home side who found the difference in Mati Fontana. The 22-year-old central midfielder scored the goal that settled the contest, taking advantage of an afternoon where Luis Guillón showed more precision than their visitors. The home team controlled the tempo of the fixture without needing anything spectacular, something that allowed them to maintain their defensive solidity throughout the ninety minutes.

Luis Guillón's defence worked like a wall. Thiago Beltrame, at 35, showed that experience remains an irreplaceable asset on the right flank, while Salvador Vigevani handled things with composure on the left side. Nahue Calabria, the 21-year-old goalkeeper, did not have to make any eye-catching saves but kept his concentration in the key moments. Javier Grabowski, the 25-year-old striker with a 7.7 rating, was the home side's main attacking threat, although he could not convert the second goal that might have killed the game off early.

Berazategui Sur arrived without any attacking firepower. Sandro Modarelli, the Brazilian right winger, found no space to cause damage down his side. Ivo Bertoni in central defence fulfilled more of a containing role than anything else, while Bautista Villa on the left barely caused any danger. The visitors left empty-handed from a Primera F GBA Sur that is beginning to define its hierarchy. For Luis Guillón, the victory is a quality first step in this campaign that is only just getting under way.
