TIRO FEDERAL BB2 - 2General Güemes de Floresta

Club Temperley Sur and General Güemes de Floresta shared the points in a fixture that had everything: goals, tempo and few defensive concessions. The 2-2 draw at the home side’s pitch was the fair result of two teams who came out to have a go, both with a 4-4-2 formation and balanced mentality, with no intention of sitting back. The match unfolded naturally in that sense, with quick transitions and space for the attack in both directions, although neither side managed to make the most of the advantage when it had it.

Temperley Sur played at home with the need to pick up points, but home advantage was not enough to see out a result that at one stage looked under control. General Güemes de Floresta showed they had enough resources not to give up and responded with a goal every time they needed to. The attacking pair for both teams were the main protagonists across the ninety minutes: they looked to combine, created width and generated dangerous moments with some regularity. What both sides lacked was precision in the final third, or that touch of composure that decides matches at this level.

The result leaves a bittersweet feeling for the home side. Temperley Sur are adding points but see their climb up the table compromised after failing to win at home; General Güemes de Floresta, meanwhile, take a valuable point away from home that keeps them in the hunt. Both teams remain alive in the zone, but after this matchday 3 of Primera H GBA Sur, either side would have wanted to take all three points.
