Atlético Palermo Hollywood FC showed no mercy at home. Against Nueva Estrella Floresta, the home side produced functional, effective football that ended in a convincing 4-1 win on matchday 6 of Primera I GBA Oeste. Both squads arrived with identical formations, 4-4-2, and balanced mentalities, but the difference lay in the execution. The Palermo Hollywood side were more precise, more aggressive in attack and knew how to exploit every opening the visitors afforded them.
Galo Aristegui was the face of that attacking superiority. The 28-year-old forward from Merlo scored twice with the certainty of someone who had found his rhythm in the opposition box. His attacking partner, Víctor Pratto, also contributed two goals in a outstanding performance. The 36-year-old right winger, with that scar at the corner of his lip that he has carried since his youth playing on the rough pitches of Comodoro Rivadavia, showed that he still has the sharpness and energy to decide matches. For the visitors, Cataldo Rosati pulled one back with a goal that did little to change the course of the match. The winger from Resistencia had moments of pace, along with the ambidextrous ability that characterises him, but it was not enough against a home defence that knew when to shut up shop.
Nueva Estrella Floresta could not find the football or consistency required to stay in the match. They started with intentions similar to their opponents, but lacked precision in the final third and did not know how to manage their defensive shape. Atlético Palermo Hollywood, with Lisandro Tellini solid at right-back and the Argentine midfielder Uriel Liebman underpinning the structure, suffocated every attempt from the visitors. For Palermo Hollywood, this thrashing consolidates their position near the top. For Nueva Estrella Floresta, there is the task of analysing what went so badly wrong in a match where the opposition were simply better.
