La cuarta3 - 1CR Parque Patricios

Argentinos de Barracas showed no mercy on Matchday 6 of Primera I GBA Oeste. With a 3-1 scoreline that sounds like a thrashing but felt more comfortable than dominant, the home side made the most of playing at home, deploying a no-frills 4-4-2 that allowed them to control the tempo against CR Parque Patricios’ similar approach. The visitors arrived with balanced intentions, but the reality on the pitch proved different: Argentinos scored three goals, while the visitors could only salvage one consolation goal.

Pocho Beitia, the 31-year-old forward hovering around a 7.2 rating, opened the scoring with a goal that reflected his continued attacking prowess despite his years. Lalo Bastianelli, a 22-year-old left-back who made an offensive surprise, then added another, followed by Benicio Krüger from the right side of the defence, showing that on an afternoon like this even the full-backs were contributing to the scoring effort. Ezequiel Rotondi, CR Parque Patricios’ forward with a 7.2 rating, pulled one back at some point in the match but it was not enough to change its course. Octavio Ponce, a 36-year-old veteran on the pitch, was shown a yellow card during his attacking efforts without being able to alter the result. Federico Reyes in left midfield maintained the tactical stability demanded by the team’s approach.

What was clear was that Argentinos found their goalscoring rhythm on a day when everything flowed. For CR Parque Patricios, the defeat leaves the feeling of a team that failed to develop their attacking plans, restricted by an opponent who was simply more clinical. In the race for the group, the Barracas side picked up three decisive points; the visitors, meanwhile, will have to rethink things for the matchdays ahead.
