C. y Barrio Parque Centenario2 - 1Def. Agronomía Centro

Parque Centenario earned a deserved win on Saturday afternoon against Agronomía Centro, with a 2-1 scoreline that reflected the balance of play but also the home side’s efficiency when chances came their way. Both teams lined up in the same shape, 4-4-2 and balanced mentality, which produced a tight match where neither side managed to establish clear control. The goals came naturally through the flow of the game: Ethan Lara, the 34-year-old striker who has spent almost his entire career in this region, opened the scoring for the home side by making the most of a chance Agronomía let slip. Parque Centenario’s experienced number nine, used to delivering at this level, did not miss. Nico Vigliani, the Bahía Blanca winger aged just 20 who is coming through Agronomía’s ranks, later pulled one back with a goal that kept the away side’s hope alive and showed the travelling team had not come to hand over the points. The response came when Parque Centenario once again capitalised on a loose ball to extend the lead.

The home side’s best quality was their ability to manage the critical moments. Damián Cisneros in goal did his job without needing to pull off spectacular saves, while at the back Cris Reyes remained solid despite a yellow card that forced him to be more cautious in the closing stages. El Polaco Veneziani, the left-back who also carries his Patagonian roots, was reliable in defence. On the left, Lolo Bidegain offered a presence in attack, though without the kind of runs that would decide the match.

Agronomía Centro did not put in a performance to complain about. Gino Baciocchi, the 19-year-old holding midfielder brought up in San Miguel, tried to organise the game from midfield and even provided an assist, but he lacked cutting edge in dangerous areas. The visitors leave with nothing, but they do not return beaten on the football side either.
