Patriotas Pompeya3 - 0Unión Once

Patriotas Pompeya dismantled Unión Once with a solid display that left no room for doubt: three goals to nil on home pitch, on matchday six of Primera I de GBA Norte. It was a match where the hosts, with their balanced 4-4-2, found the right spaces to do damage to a visitor that never really managed to threaten in earnest. Unión Once came with the same tactical setup but without the effectiveness or control required to stop a side that was superior in every department.

Bauti Schiavi was the man of the match for Patriotas. The 34-year-old left winger combined experience with freshness: he scored a goal and provided an assist with the precision that comes from craft. Gino Sánchez, the 26-year-old striker, also found the net and was a constant nuisance for the away defence. In midfield, the home structure functioned without mishap, while Saúl Tassone in goal hardly had any work to do. Silvio Marchetti at left-back picked up a yellow card but kept the defensive line under control. Marcelo Álvarez did his job on the right with little cause for alarm.

For Unión Once, there was little to salvage. Jeremías Zambon on the left wing and the Brazilian full-back Sebastián Vicente tried to create in attack, but midfielder Omar Sarmiento, with a rating of 5.9, did not have the tools to knit the visitors' play together. The yellow card for Sarmiento was merely a reflection of the helplessness that defined the collective display. Patriotas strengthened their campaign with a convincing win that leaves them well placed in the table, while Unión Once will have to rethink their approach to improve in the coming matchdays.
