Match report
El Porvenir de San Telmo and Federación Mataderos shared the points in a match where both sides’ 4-4-2 formations showed tactical balance but lacked precision in decisive moments. The 1-1 draw reflected two teams that knew each other’s strengths well, with neither managing to impose its style of play over the ninety minutes. It was an even encounter, lacking the clarity the home side had been seeking on their own pitch, or the extra impetus the visitors might have hoped for.
Nazareno De Angelis, a thirty-three-year-old centre-back with extensive experience, opened the scoring for El Porvenir with a goal that showcased his ability to appear in unexpected areas. The defender’s 7.2 rating reflected a serious performance in both aspects of the game. Bastian Branca, a thirty-four-year-old forward, provided the assist for the home side, although he was booked for his more aggressive style of play. At the other end, Joaco Peralta, a Brazilian forward who has spent years in the area, levelled the match with his goal and showed why he retains a 7.2 rating despite his age. Lucio Rebollo, Federación Mataderos’ young forward, aged just twenty-one, provided the assist for the equaliser, demonstrating that the visiting team has defensive-development resources.
El Porvenir failed to turn home advantage into a clear edge. Federación Mataderos, with Máximo Medero’s organised presence in midfield, stayed in the contest without too many scares. The result, fair to both sides, leaves El Porvenir feeling they missed an opportunity, having been seeking all three points. For Federación Mataderos, taking a draw away from San Telmo can be considered a good point on the road in the competition.
