El Murallón de Virrey del Pino managed to contain Liga Luján’s early pressure in a match that promised to be tight and ended up becoming a goal-fest. Both teams came with symmetrical line-ups, 4-4-2, and balanced mindsets, but the home side’s pitch ended up becoming an end-to-end one where attack triumphed over defence. Sergio Greco was the standout performer for the home team. Maicol Guillen in attack also had moments of brilliance, although he picked up a yellow card for over-enthusiasm. Both defences looked vulnerable at times, with El Ruso Zurita and Buonocore each carrying a booking. At the final whistle, El Murallón came away with a narrow but deserved victory in a match where the goals were the real protagonists, not the systems or the midfield battles. It was what the home side needed to face the season in Primera F of GBA Oeste.
