CJ Haedo1 - 0CR Defensores de Morón

CJ Haedo got the job done in a tight match against CR Defensores de Morón with a 1-0 win that reflected two sides that were even in their set-ups but uneven in execution. The Primera F of GBA Oeste kicked off with this tactical battle, where both sides in a 4-4-2 and balanced mentality were looking to settle on the pitch without exposing themselves too much. The home side made the most of its moments to take the three points on matchday one, while the visitors left frustrated at having taken nothing despite competing on level terms.

Pedro Zappa was the standout in the home attack. The 25-year-old striker from Bahía Blanca, that youngster who arrived almost quietly from a local club three years ago, scored the goal that settled the match. His movement in the area and his ability to be in the right place at the right time allowed him to break the deadlock. Bauti Carrasco contributed from right-back with a solid display (7.4 rating), while Olivier Zalla had a more eventful match, making a rash mistake that earned him a yellow card. At the back, Joaquín Saposnik stood firm in the marking although he too saw yellow. Damián Vita in goal did his job, making the necessary saves without being called upon to make extreme interventions.

Defensores de Morón found no attacking clarity. Lionel Rumi, the 37-year-old veteran with a whole career behind him, could not carry out what he needed to. Emanuel Colombo in defence did what he could, while Ignacio Tricarico in goal (6.7) had no major responsibilities. The visitors left with the uncertainty of a first matchday that often sets the tone. CJ Haedo, by contrast, started with conviction, knowing that at home points matter more.
