DEFENSORES DE BELGRANO1 - 1Def. General Rodríguez Oeste

AD Isidro Casanova and Def. General Rodríguez Oeste shared the points in an even match that produced no winner on the first matchday of Primera F del GBA Oeste. Both teams lined up in a 4-4-2 with a balanced mentality, which was ultimately reflected in the final 1-1 scoreline that summed up what happened on the pitch. It was not a match of great excitement, but rather one between two teams who know little about each other and were looking to establish themselves in the competition without taking unnecessary risks. Manuel Zacarías, Casanova’s right winger, aged just twenty, was the home side’s standout attacking player and scored the goal that gave them the lead. The youngster from Merlo showed good attacking ability and earned a deserved rating of 7.2 after his performance. Galo Gigena in defence and Cris Tellini in midfield completed a team that had arguments in their favour, but not enough to take all three points.

For the visiting side, Def. General Rodríguez Oeste found in Gael Giménez, a striker aged just seventeen, the tool they needed to balance the match. The youngster from San Miguel also scored, rescuing a valuable point for his team. At seventeen, he is already competing at this level with a rating of 7.2 and the ability to finish in the box. Coco Wojcik, the twenty-eight-year-old striker from Comodરívar, provided a key assist in the draw and fulfilled his role in attack despite a more modest rating of 6.5.

The draw left both managers satisfied, although with the feeling that there had been opportunities to take all three points. Casanova had their chances in the first half; General Rodríguez Oeste had theirs after the interval. For both teams, it is a positive point at the start of the tournament, although they will clearly want to improve in the coming matches.
