Social y Deportivo Batacazo Futbol Club Unidos1 - 0HURLINGHAM F.C

Batacazo took a victory that it knew how to defend with tactical intelligence on the Local pitch, where Club Núñez arrived with attacking intent but found an organised side that knew how to neutralise the advances. The 1-0 result fairly well reflects what was a tight match, one of those where the smallest mistake decides it. The home side's 4-4-2 formation brought solidity at the back, while Núñez tried to break the pattern with its attacking 4-2-3-1, but could not find the space needed to punish.

Manuel Ortiz, the central midfielder, 31, who carries the weight of experience in midfield, was a wall in the middle of the park. His 7.4 rating speaks of a focused performance, one of those played without too much flourish but with the precision that years bring. He picked up a yellow card near the end, the natural result of that defensive effort. Alongside him, Facundo Tagliafico, the 22-year-old midfielder born in Merlo, did his job on the right with the solidity that characterises footballers who come through street football. His 7.6 rating showed he was one of Batacazo's most reliable footholds in the build-up play.

At the back, Ignacio Molina, just a youngster of 17 who guards the central area with an attitude that belies his age, stood firm against Club Núñez's attacks. With a 7.4 rating, the young man from Bahía Blanca showed composure in dangerous situations, that sort of no-fuss defending that earns points. Gonzalo Silva, the left-back aged 31, was another model of solidity, with a 7.6 rating that summed up an afternoon of tight marking and simple passing. Up front, Gonzalo Rodrigo was the goalscorer, the strike that allows Batacazo to savour a hard-earned victory, one that had to be fought for with the concentration these matches demand where the margin is tiny. The 22-year-old striker, with his 7.2 rating, was efficient in the goal he scored, that goal that matters in the standings.

For the visitors, Lucas Gallo, the 19-year-old striker who arrived from Concordia looking for opportunities, posted a 6.7 rating that reflects a contest in which there was little space to spare. Daniel Quiroga, Núñez's midfielder, recorded 6.6 in his performance. Mateo Sosa in the visitors' goal, with 6.5, had little to do in terms of spectacular interventions but was present for what the afternoon demanded.

It was the sort of match where details make the difference and Batacazo made better use of them. Núñez set out to go on the front foot, their attacking mindset aiming to open the scoring, but the home side's defensive order was superior. With no goals for the visitors and Rodrigo's finishing making the difference, Batacazo picked up three points that strengthen their campaign on matchday 6 of the Primera E de CABA.
