Match report
Sociedad Parque Chacabuco took a victory that had to be looked after, but which cost them. On matchday 13 of Primera L GBA Norte, the home side beat AC Villa Riachuelo 2-1 in a game where both set-ups were symmetrical, but where the difference lay in the details. The hosts made better use of their chances and knew how to dig in when the visitors pressed. Villa Riachuelo had grounds to take something from the match, but Aníbal Brancato's goal came too late, when fortune had already tilted towards the home side.
Full-back Tadeo Biscardi scored one of the goals in the win, showing the know-how that marks experienced defenders who can still get forward when the match allows it. Esteban Aboud, his counterpart on the other flank, also got on the scoresheet in an afternoon when the home defence found space to cause problems. For the visitors, Brancato, still going strong in the opposition box at thirty, pulled one back with the goal that could have changed everything had it come earlier. Víctor Neumann in the home goal had a solid match that justified his 7.5 rating, while Sociedad Parque Chacabuco's back three, with Lalo Ferreira at centre-back and Lucio Ulloa in defence, kept the shape needed not to concede beyond what the numbers allowed.
The symmetry in set-up and mindset made this a contest of efficiency rather than dominance. Villa Riachuelo left empty-handed despite having their moments, which is the risk of travelling to a rival pitch without being able to make it count in time. For Sociedad Parque Chacabuco, these three points come at a time when winning at home is an obligation, not a luxury.
