Deportivo Constitución Veteranos thrashed Sportivo Once Sur with authority on the third matchday of the Primera L of the GBA Oeste, a 3-0 that left no room for a response or debate. The home side took advantage of the visitors' balanced set-up to impose their class in midfield and find spaces that Once Sur never managed to close down decisively. It was a match of two 4-4-2s playing football, but where individual quality ultimately tipped the balance emphatically towards the home side.
Felipe Santini, the 27-year-old Chilean midfielder with a rating of 8.4, was the standout of the night. He scored two goals with the precision of someone who knows where to be at every moment, moving between the lines with a clarity that Once Sur could never nullify. His physical and attacking work opened doors that right-back Zacarías Jiménez, at 37 years old, made use of in defence without giving ground. In attack, Rolando Toledo down the right flank made his presence felt with a goal and the pace of someone beginning to understand his role, while Milton Filippa, barely a 17-year-old teenager already showing worrying composure, laid on two assists that made both goals a formality. Santiago Bianchi on the left completed the high press that smothered the visitors' attacking circuit.
Sportivo Once Sur had players who tried to take the initiative, such as the 21-year-old striker Walter Bonaventura, but the tempo set by the home side did not allow the visitors to build anything consistent. Silvio Merlo, the Paraguayan striker of few words, was left isolated. Once Sur's defence crumbled not through tactical disorder but through the superiority in execution shown by Deportivo Constitución Veteranos. A convincing win that leaves the home side well placed near the top of the table.
