Federación Liniers2 - 1Aurora de Villa Devoto

Federación Liniers deservedly overcame Aurora de Villa Devoto in a match where both teams set up with similar systems but differed clearly in their execution. The final 2-1 sums up what happened well: a home side that knew how to make the most of its opportunities and an away team that posed a threat but lacked the cutting edge to take anything from the pitch. In Primera I del GBA Oeste, matchday 15, the Liniers side confirmed that they have the tools to compete seriously.

Ramón Grabowski opened the scoring from left-back, a move that caught out a defence still struggling to settle. Alberto Guevara added the second with a goal that reflected his disciplined work in midfield, where he was more precise than the visiting midfielder Liam Bilbao, who provided an assist but lacked brilliance. Benjamín Palomino pulled one back for Aurora with the experience he has accumulated over twenty-eight years of his career, but it came too late. Ariel Abud in the home goal made a few timely interventions and picked up a yellow card that reflected the physical nature of the match. Gabriel Buonocore and Axel Bonomi performed their roles effectively: the centre-back kept things under control, while the nineteen-year-old Paraguayan forward showed hunger without being decisive.

Aurora were not poor, but they lacked the touch that can decide tight matches like this one. Bilbao had footballing ability but no winning rhythm. The away side pressed at times and tried to impose themselves, but Federación Liniers were more effective in transition. Aurora are left with the bitter feeling of having lost without being inferior; for Liniers, it is confirmation that with defensive balance and by taking their chances, they can continue collecting victories in this division.
