Primera Nacional Zona B: Matchday 8 Results and Table

Defensores de Tristán Suárez remain unstoppable in the Primera Nacional, Argentina’s second tier, although things did not go their way this Sunday: they drew 0-0 with Sportivo Brandsen in a tight match where neither side could break the deadlock. Meanwhile, Defensores de Las Flores made a real statement in Campana, winning 4-2 in a match packed with action. Sportivo Roque Pérez also had a chance to close the gap when they beat Sportivo City Bell 3-2 in an entertaining game, although they remain dependent on the unbeaten leaders. The battle at the top is still wide open: Sportivo Constitución maintained their defensive solidity with a goalless draw against Defensores de Dolores, while Sportivo Necochea, with a 2-1 win over Defensores de Ensenada, are trying not to lose ground in the fight for the leading places.

It was a complete disaster at the bottom for the sides battling to avoid relegation. Club Berisso lost 3-2 to Sportivo Caballito in a match that left the Berisso side with just 4 points in the table and in increasing trouble. Defensores de Olavarría were thrashed 3-0 by Club Chascomús, leaving them almost out of options, also on 4 points. Atlético La Plata FC cannot breathe easily either: they drew 1-1 with Defensores de Pehuajó and remain stuck in the survival battle on the same 4 points as their fellow strugglers. Primera Nacional Zona B is completely up in the air at the moment, with surprises every matchday keeping everything open.

Matchday 9 will bring more movement in the table, so keep watching closely because this group shows no mercy.
