Training update: rest players and preview saved line-ups

# Guaranteed rest and line-ups at a glance: what the managers wanted

A couple of features many of you asked for have landed. In ELDT, we listened, and this week we’ve added two changes to make life in the dugout easier. First: you can now send a player to rest without him being stuck there forever, recovering from fatigue properly. Second: you can check what each saved line-up has without having to load it in a match. Simple stuff, but it makes a real difference when you’re managing your team without the headaches.

Let the one who needs it rest

When a player has been piling up minutes and is absolutely knackered from fatigue, you now have a clear option. Go into Training, find the "Train" column for the lad who needs a break, and choose "Rest". That week he won’t train or improve his attributes, but he will recover 25 extra fatigue points. In other words: he gets a proper rest, without the pressure of improving while he recovers.

The best bit is that it isn’t permanent. The rest lasts just one week, and after that the player automatically goes back to whatever he had assigned in training. No need to keep track of who was in recovery, and no danger of forgetting someone on the bench. Send him to rest and the whole thing sorts itself out.

Saved line-ups, laid bare

There’s also news on the line-up side. Every saved line-up now has a "View" button that shows you everything without loading it: you can see the starters in each position, the substitutes, who is captain, who takes penalties, the mentality and style you chose, and even which fixtures that line-up is used for automatically. It’s ideal when you’ve got several saved and need to remember what you put in each one.

If you play ELDT, head down to Training and in Line-up try the "View" button on one of your saved line-ups. If you’re not playing yet, here’s one more reason to give it a go. Because the game keeps growing by listening to what you need.
