Which league will you start in Season 3? You can check now

Now you know where you’re headed in Season 3

The mystery is over. You can now see exactly which league you’ll start in when Season 3 arrives, and the best bit is that it updates itself after every matchday. You don’t have to wait for the final fixture of Season 2 to know whether you’ll be battling it out in Primera División or dropping into Nacional, the second tier. The system shows you right now, hour by hour, so you can see where you’re settling in the pyramid as you play.

How it all looks

Go into your club and in the Season 3 section your level and the league you’d drop into today appear straight away. If you want to have a proper browse, there’s the "Whole pyramid" section, where you can work your way through the 341 leagues there are in Season 3, level by level, seeing which 16 clubs would fall into each one. There you can also see how many managers play in each league, so you get a sense of where the movement will be. And if you want to look up a specific club, you can find it by name without any fuss.

There’s also a new column in the table for your own league called T3, which shows you which level each rival starts in depending on how things go for them in Season 2. So you’re not only seeing where you’ll land, but also where everyone else in your battle is heading.

Bear in mind this isn’t set in stone: it’s a projection that shifts with every matchday. Your level depends on how you finish Season 2, and the exact league is handed out by ranking. So if you climb the table, you could end up in a better league. If you drop, down you go. Every point matters, especially in Primera C, where there are 1.024 places: clubs at the bottom are fighting for those last spots and the cut-off is decided by points, so nothing is handed to you on a plate.

If you’re not playing ELDT yet, this is a good time to start building your project. See how your club fits into the pyramid, get your head round the system, and start managing with a clear idea of where you want to go. For those of you already in the trenches, it’s time to review your strategy: every matchday counts towards deciding which league you’ll be fighting in next season.
