Sueño Adolescente1 - 0N. Estrella Liniers

Sueño Adolescente took a narrow but deserved victory on the opening matchday of Primera H GBA Sur, beating N. Estrella Liniers 1-0 in a game where both sides opted for balanced and cautious approaches. The winning goal came in a context of home dominance that was never overwhelming, but it did allow the hosts to keep control of the tempo throughout the ninety minutes. N. Estrella Liniers competed seriously, however they failed to create enough clear-cut chances to truly trouble the opposition goal.

With both sides set up in a 4-4-2 and with a balanced mindset, the match unfolded in predictable fashion: Sueño Adolescente looked to make the most of home advantage and press in the first half, while the visitors sought to shore up their defence and exploit space in transition. The difference lay in the effectiveness of the side in possession at decisive moments. The hosts made better decisions when chances came along, and that was enough to break the deadlock. N. Estrella Liniers had their chances to level, but lacked the necessary finishing touch or found an alert goalkeeper who denied them the equaliser.

The result leaves Sueño Adolescente with three points in the bag, starting the season on the front foot at home. For N. Estrella Liniers, the defeat is a bitter one because the team did not fall short tactically or in attitude, but football is like that: those who waste their goalscoring chances end up leaving with nothing. Both teams will have chances to improve in the coming matchdays, but Sueño Adolescente got off to a better start in this bid to climb the table.
