Club de Exnovias Locas1 - 2General Güemes de Floresta

General Güemes de Floresta left the Club de Exnovias Locas home with the three points in the bag on an afternoon where the football was even but the finishing made the difference. The visitors won 2-1 in a match that had no great shocks, but just the right dose of tension to justify a victory which, it must be said, was absolutely deserved. Both teams came out with the same tactical idea: an evenly balanced 4-4-2 that promised a fixture without major surprises, and so it proved for much of the ninety minutes.

The truth is that General Güemes knew how to be where it mattered in the key moments. The Floresta side played with the patience of a team that knows every point counts in Primera H of GBA Sur, and when chances came they took them without fuss. Club de Exnovias Locas tried to respond, managed to pull one back to give themselves a bit of hope, but it was not enough to force a draw. The home defence had a few moments of distraction that proved costly, while the visitors stayed focused and professional without any need for showboating.

For Club de Exnovias Locas, there is the bitter feeling of a missed opportunity on the opening day. Playing at home and coming away empty-handed is a heavy blow, especially when the rival was not better overall but simply more clinical. General Güemes, meanwhile, has made a solid start to this Primera H, winning away from home and showing it has the resources to compete. In a league where the competition is tight, these away wins are often worth gold come the end of the tournament.
