Atlético Villa Devoto1 - 1Central de Saavedra El Barrio

Villa Devoto and Central de Saavedra El Barrio shared the points in a match where both teams showed tactical balance but little attacking judgement. The 1-1 scoreline at the home pitch reflected what happened well: two squads who recognised each other as respectable opponents and preferred not to take too many risks. Matchday 5 of Primera I de CABA had its share of excitement, but it was caution rather than drive that governed the encounter.

Gael Mella was the face of the home side. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder, rated 6.9, scored the goal that might have been decisive in another context, but his effort was not enough for more. His booking came in a match where the intensity never went beyond the permitted limits. Dante Calabrese, Villa Devoto's left-back, provided the assist that complemented the attacking work, with 27 years of experience and a rating of 6.5. At the other end, Sebastián Escalante (left midfielder, rated 7.2) responded with his own goal to keep Central de Saavedra El Barrio alive. The visiting 24-year-old brought mobility to a key area. Geremías Olivera, a 23-year-old central midfielder, carried out his defensive duties without fuss, with a rating of 7.0 that reflects a sustained performance without showboating.

What remained from this stalemate was the feeling that both teams were happy not to lose on the other side's pitch. Villa Devoto brought the visitors' attempts to an abrupt halt with a solid structure. Central de Saavedra El Barrio took a valuable point away from home without suffering too much. In championships where every result matters, these draws seem like rewards for both sides, but they are also missed opportunities to create some distance. Primera I de CABA remains wide open; at least that much was made clear.
