Club Villa Adelina FC

Match report
Villa Adelina secured a narrow victory against Boulogne on the opening matchday of Primera E - GBA Norte, with a 1-0 scoreline that reflected the tactical balance between both teams. The home side, lining up in a 4-4-2 with a balanced mentality, managed the tempo better than the visitors, who were also set up in a 4-4-2. Iván Silva’s goal, scored by the 25-year-old forward who showed good instincts in the area, proved to be the difference in a match where fine margins prevailed over clear-cut chances. Silva, originally from Comodoro Rivadavia, produced a consistent performance with a 7.2 rating that saw him present at the key moments.
Villa Adelina’s defence was the pillar of the afternoon. Esteban Suárez, a 17-year-old centre-back with a 7.3 rating, showed the concentration typical of someone who knows they must win through experience. Alongside Iván Sosa, another centre-back who earned a 7.1 rating, he formed a back line that gave the visiting attackers no respite. Pipa Bianchi completed the job in goal with a 7.2 rating, although he received a yellow card late on. Diego Lombardi in central midfield controlled the spaces with a 7.6 rating and was also booked during the match.
For Boulogne, Andrés González in goal, a veteran 32-year-old goalkeeper with a 6.5 rating, could do little about the goal. The full-backs Daniel Bianchi and Gerónimo Lo Celso, both rated 6.6, had decent matches but failed to create clear chances down the flanks. Villa Adelina remained in control without needing to take excessive risks. It was a fair result in a match where the home side made the most of their effectiveness in the only moment that mattered, without needing to put on any greater display. Three points for the home side on the opening matchday in GBA Norte.
