Patriotas Núñez3 - 0Deportivo Villa Crespo Veteranos

Patriotas Núñez put Deportivo Villa Crespo Veteranos to the sword with a 3-0 win that left no room for debate. On matchday five of the capital's Primera L, the home side imposed its class from the outset and controlled the tempo of a fixture where the visitors never found the means to trouble them. The two 4-4-2s on the pitch promised a tight contest, but Patriotas knew how to break that symmetry: crisp ball circulation, pressure in the middle third and decisive finishing when they got into the box.

Damian Neumann, the 34-year-old forward from Mendoza, was the backbone of the home attack. His 7.6 rating was reflected in a display that combined positional intelligence with grit, typical of an experienced player who continues to deliver in his prime. Adrián Gutiérrez supported from the other flank and added a goal plus an assist, confirming why he remains one of the team's most dangerous weapons: pace without losing effectiveness. In midfield, Lionel Berazadi scored a goal that allowed him to expand his influence on the pitch, while Cris Bonechi, the nineteen-year-old youngster, showed he is not intimidated by the occasion. Centre-back Ciro Arcuri completed a solid defensive performance, another young player making his presence felt at Patriotas.

For the visitors, the job was hard but fruitless. Rodolfo Zapata, with a 6.6 rating, had little going forward; Luis Serrano in goal did what he could against a flood of chances. Cacho Simionato tried to hold things together at the back, but the difference in class was plain to see. Villa Crespo left Santa Fe empty-handed and with awkward questions about how they are to stay in the division with performances like these.
