Sportivo Belgrano R Norte2 - 0Sportivo Flores Sur

Sportivo Belgrano R Norte did not have to do anything extraordinary to sweep aside Sportivo Flores Sur at Belgrano Stadium. A clean 2-0, with no scares, with two teams who set out to play in a similar fashion but where the home side made better use of the space. Two identical line-ups on paper, two balanced mindsets, but diametrically opposite results. At this level, that is what sets one team apart from another: the ability to finish when the chance comes.

Santi Yedro, a thirty-year-old striker who already knows the ways of Belgrano, opened the scoring in the first half with a goal that reflected the solidity of the home side. Then came Santi Arazandi, the eighteen-year-old youngster from San Juan who is gaining experience with every fixture. Belgrano controlled the game without needing to produce attractive football, leaning on the calm defending of Kiki Arrarte, another academy player who is showing consistency at the back. Yago Zazzaroni at right-back fulfilled his role without fuss, a 7.6 rating that reflected his containing performance.

For Flores Sur, Mirko Ordoñez had to stay alert in goal but did not face any major chances. Olivier Berecibar, the thirty-four-year-old veteran from Mendoza, looked uncomfortable up front and never found the space to do damage. Renzo Zucchini picked up a defensive yellow card, the sort of marking that characterises experienced centre-halves. The visitors left without too many complaints, because Belgrano were more consistent in their execution. Alberto Braun in midfield also did his share of the work, though he too received a yellow card during the match. Three points that put the hosts in a better position in the table, while Flores Sur will have to keep searching for their first win of the season in the Liga de CABA.
