AD Beccar2 - 1El Fortín de Florida Oeste

AD Beccar earned a deserved victory on the opening matchday of Primera F - GBA Norte, overcoming Fortín de Florida Oeste by 2-1 in a tight match where both sides deployed similar formations. The home side, with an even-minded approach from the 4-4-2, found in Hector Villa a solid centre-half who dominated the aerial duels. Villa, the thirty-one-year-old defender who arrived at Beccar almost by chance after shining in a friendly, once again showed why the scout did not hesitate to sign him. His reading of the game was impeccable, anticipating Fortín's attempts, where Benicio Maciel was looking for danger in the spaces. The visiting striker scored his team's only goal, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.

In midfield, Claudio Bertola played a holding role that allowed AD Beccar to maintain control. The central midfielder, twenty-nine years old and developed in the Merlo neighbourhood, put in a very effective display alongside his team-mates, breaking up play and sparking quick breaks. Rolando Stankovic, the home striker, also came close to a 7.4 rating with a pragmatic performance; without being spectacular, he did his job and helped in the build-up of the attacking play. Pipa Vázquez, a thirty-one-year-old right-back with experience, was key in shoring up the right flank, limiting the visitors' advances.

Calleo Viani in Beccar's goal put in a secure display. The Patagonian goalkeeper, who in childhood used to keep goal on dirt pitches where the wind was relentless, maintains that solidity in the aerial game that marks him out. Fortín de Florida Oeste played with intensity but lacked precision in the final third to convert more chances. This opening victory leaves AD Beccar well placed to continue their campaign.
