Pibes Bella Vista1 - 1Libertad Barrial de Pablo Nogués

Pibes Bella Vista and Libertad Barrial de Pablo Nogués shared the points in a balanced encounter that left little room for surprises. With both teams lined up in a 4-4-2 and with similar mentalities, the match unfolded in a tactical rhythm that favoured an exchange of blows without either side managing to impose its will. Lorenzo Mosquera, a 26-year-old striker and the home side’s standout with a rating of 7.2, opened the scoring for Pibes Bella Vista with a goal that seemed to set things on course for all three points. The attacker from Comodoro Rivadavia, used to battling for every ball on the front line, was the sharpest when his team created attacking play.

However, Libertad Barrial were not willing to give in. Pichi Basualdo, a playmaker of just 22 but with an identical rating to Mosquera, found a way to level the score with his goal. The midfielder from Tigre, who also made his contribution with a healthy dose of individual technique, showed that the visiting side had the credentials to compete on equal terms. Lucas Castellano, a 19-year-old centre-half who provided an assist on his official debut, was key in Libertad Barrial’s defensive line throughout the entire match.

Alejandro Baldo, the home side’s 28-year-old playmaker, tried to direct the game from midfield but could not find the necessary gaps. By contrast, Yair Mansilla, a 23-year-old holding midfielder, did solid shielding work to steady Pibes Bella Vista’s midfield. The tactical balance prevented either team from being superior at any stage, which led to a fair result. Both picked up a point on an opening fixture that showed only flashes, but plenty of defensive solidity and a degree of caution in attack.
